Jeremiah Greathouse has resided and served the public in Volusia County for over 20 years as a Firefighter, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Labor Leader, and Community Activist. Mr. Greathouse began his public service career in 2000 gaining employment with Volusia County Fire Rescue as a Firefighter / EMT. Professional duties include protecting the public from threats of wildfires, house fires, car wrecks, and emergency medical situations. Mr. Greathouse has hands-on experience in dealing with personal injuries and property damage and he understands the pain and devastation suffered by members of our community when accidents occur. Helping others during their time of need has been his inspiration in continuing his education with the purpose of healing those who have been wronged and fighting to make them whole. The goal is to restore a sense of normalcy and comfort while fighting for justice in compensating the injured citizens he represents.
Education provides the tools necessary for an attorney to effectively advocate for their clients. With this understanding, Mr. Greathouse finished first in his class while earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration from Flagler College in St. Augustine. Following graduation, Mr. Greathouse attended F.A.M.U. College of Law where he excelled in Tort (Injury) Law, Labor Law, and Constitutional Law issues. Ultimately, Mr. Greathouse finished in the top 3% of his class and graduated Magna Cum Laude while earning his Juris Doctorate.
In addition to protecting and serving the public, Mr. Greathouse has worked tirelessly to protect the rights of his brother and sister firefighters. Mr. Greathouse has been an active member of the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 3574 for over 20 years. He has extensive history in negotiating fair and just contracts for the members of Local 3574, protecting their employment rights, and advocating for proper staffing and safety concerns allowing for effective and efficient delivery of fire and emergency medical services for Volusia County residents and our visitors.
Mr. Greathouse has dedicated his entire professional life to protecting others and he is committed to continuing this work with the Vasilaros Wagner Law Firm. The Greathouse family includes Mrs. Amy Greathouse and their 4 boys ages 9, 13, 15, & 17. Jeremiah Greathouse knows what he is fighting for when taking on the legal challenges facing his clients.
